1956年インド・カルナータカ州生まれ。

1976年マイソール大学アーユルヴェーダ医学士課程修了

1980年グジャラート・アーユルヴェーダ大学大学院博士課程修了

1986年来日

1991年岡山大学医学博士号取得

1994年東洋伝承医学研究所設立、副所長に就任。日本におけるアーユルヴェーダ教育を始める。

2001年日本アーユルヴェーダ・スクール校長に就任

2009年米国カリフォルニア州補完医療大学 客員教授

現在日本のみならず、インド・ヨーロッパ・アメリカにおいても多数の講演やワークショップを行い、国を超えてアーユルヴェーダの普及に努めている。

M. D. (Ay) Post Graduate Degree of Ayurveda in internal medicine (Kaya Chikitsa) in 1980 from Gujarat Ayurveda University. Thesis "Pinda Sveda on Vata Vyadhies, a scientific assessment".

Post graduate course in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy in 1984.

Ph.D. in medicine from Okayama University Medical School, Japan in 1991. Research in the field of genetic toxicology. Thesis "Methanol metabolism in acatalasemic mice".

Passed Japanese language proficiency examination in 1992.

Academic experiences:

Worked as Lecturer and Physician in Udupi Ayurveda College for 5 and a half years, till 1986 January; The subjects taught were mainly, Panchakarma theory as well as practical, Charka Samhita, Ayurveda Itihasa and Parichaya.

Experience as an examiner for degree examinations of Ayurveda for 3 years from 1983 -1985, at Mangalore University and Madras University.

Worked in the clinical research project on Kyasanoor Forest Disease in 1983 -1984.

Principle investigator in the research project on Sandhivata of M. V. Shastri Memorial Chair, Mangalore University in 1984 -1985.

Worked as Ayurveda Project Leader in Misawa Homes, a Japanese company, in 1991 - 1993. Worked on the project of implementing Ayurveda in modern Japan

Taught Yoga in Japan from 1986 - 1990.

Second visit to Japan in 1982 on the invitation of Okayama Prefecture Judo Healer's Association.

Migrated to Japan in 1986 February on the invitation and sponsorship of Dr. Shigeru Suganami, President, Asian Medical Doctors' Association.

Participated, presented papers, chaired sessions and delivered guest lectures in more than 50 National and International conferences on Ayurveda held in India and Japan since 1977.

Author of 7 Japanese books on Ayurveda.

Since 1980, delivering Lectures and conducting workshops on Ayurveda in India, Japan, U.S.A., France, Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic and Portugal.

Propagating Ayurveda through magazines, Radio and Television since 1980, in India, Japan and U.S.A.

Received Ryobi Memorial Foundation Award for outstanding research on Methanol metabolism in Acatalasemia, in 1990.

Awarded Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation Fellowship from April 1988 to March 1989.
